Abstract

PURPOSE:To work a spherical member accurately in short time, by placing said member between a pan lap and a push pan then rotating the receiving pan lap and rolling while pressing the push pan through a resilient member against the spherical member under predetermined pressure. CONSTITUTION:A spherical member 10 to be worked is mounted on a receiving pan lap 11 formed with a spherical recessed section 13 at the upper circumference, then a push pan 14 formed with a recessed spherical section 16 having the diameter longer than the inlet diameter of said section 13 is contacted against the spherical member 10 through the function of a cylinder 18. Under the state where a constant pressing force is functioned from the direction inclining by predetermined angle theta, the receiving pan lap 11 is rotated while the cylinder 18 is rolled within predetermined range. Consequently the spherical member is worked independently resulting in a highly accurate spherical member in short time.
