Abstract
PURPOSE: To stably supply electric power by accumulating surplus wind power as elastic energy or potential energy.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of a strong wind, one ratchet stopper 28 gets into a state of release, while the other ratchet stopper 27 operates solely and winds a spring instead of releasing it. At the time of a breeze, the ratchet stopper 27 is released and a spring 23 is also released. Accordingly, in case a windmill 4 rotates at a high speed due to a strong wind, surplus energy is transmitted to an accumulator by changeover of a transmission mechanism, while in case the windmill 4 rotates at a low speed due to a breeze, accumulated energy is supplied to the generator 5. Thus, stable supply of electric power is available.
