Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the physical and chemical properties of a substrate by treating the substrate successively with an organic titanium polymer solution, an organic silicate solution, and an organic titanium polymer solution, and then carrying out a heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A substrate is treated with an organic titanium polymer solution and then dried. Further, it is treated with a silicate solution and dried. Furthermore, it is treated with said organic titanium polymer solution and a heat treatment is carried out at 350-700 deg.C. The used organic titanium polymer solution is only applied, dried and then heated to form a TiO2 film and, for example, an organic titanium polymer expressed by the general formula is favorable. (In the formula, R is an alkyl group having a 1-18, favorably 2-4 carbon number and n is that having a 2-10 carbon number). The organic silicate is obtained favorably by polymerizing alkoxy silane by the reaction system of lower alcohol and acetic acid.
