Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a protective coating with excellent antirust property by treating a Zn product with an aqueous solution containing tannic acid and silicon fluoride. CONSTITUTION:The Zn product or a product having a Zn plated surface is treated with an aqueous solution containing 0.01wt% more tannic acid such as depside, tannin, chebulinic acid or the like and 0.01wt% more silicon fluoride such as an alkali metal salt, an alkaline earth metal salt, a heavy metal salt, salt or the like of hexafluorosilicate at a temp. of 40-60 deg.C for 3-30sec by an immersing or a coating method and dried. Thereby, a coating with excellent antirust property can be formed on a Zn surface.
