Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the strength of the joint portion of underground continuous walls by welding the tip portion of coupling iron bars piercing through the web portion of a H-shaped guide to the flange portion of the H-shaped guide. CONSTITUTION:In the joint portion of the walls 1a of a reinforced concrete underground continuous wall 1, an H-shaped steel guide 3 is used, and coupling iron bars 4 are pierced through the web portion of the guide 3 in such a way that the coupling iron bars 4 are lap-jointed with cross iron bars 5 at ends of the walls 1a on both sides of the web 3a. The walls 1a are stiffly connected with each other by concrete. At least one tip portion 4b of said iron bars 4 is bent circularly and welded with the flange portion 3b of the guide 3. Thus, the flange portion 3b contributes to the increase of strength at the joint 2.
