To the acidic aqueous soln. contg. the hydroxyl radicals are added acylbenzenes together with an emulsifier, etc., and the acylbenzenes are oxidized at an increased reaction rate. Thus, hydroxyacylbenzenes as intermediates of org. fine chemicals are easily obtd.
