Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the difference in thermal displacements in a vertical direction in the connecting part between a regenerator and a combustion chamber in an outside burning type hot stove by changing at least one of the thicknesses of the heat insulating materials covering the regenerator and the combustion chamber and an application range relatively.
CONSTITUTION: A regenerator 12 is mounted directly to a foundation 14, and a combustion chamber 13 is mounted to a stationary stand 15 and domes 12a, 13a are provided to their respective top parts. The domes 12a, 13a have connecting pipes 12b, 13b respectively projecting horizontally which are connected by means of a flexible joint 16. On the regenerator 12 side, heat insulating materials 19 are coated not only over the entire outside surface of the shells of the dome 12a and the pipe 12b but also on the part lower by a distance h1 from the axial line of the pipe 12b. On the chamber 13 side, heat insulating materials 20 are coated to the parts lower by a distance h2. According to need, the relative thicknesses of the materials 19, 20 are changed, and the difference in thermal displacements is eliminated by the change in the rate of thermal displacements owing to the change in heat insulation efficiency.
