Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the selective feeding of four kinds of cassettes only by a slight increase in space by providing two independent feeding sections in a copying machine, each feeding section fitted with two cassette feed controles capable of switching from the retracted position to the feeding position and vice versa. CONSTITUTION:A copying machine is provided with cassette feeding sections 101, 102, therein cassettes B5, A4 and B4, A3 are loaded. On top of a shaft 115 is positioned a switching motor M. The motor M rotates a swing arm 117 and also drives a rocking arm 119 via a connecting link 118 thereby to move the shaft 115. On the head of the swing arm 117 is a cam 1171, which actuates switches MS1, MS2 to detect and control the movement of the arm. The arm 117 depresses the switch MS1 and moves the connecting link 118 upward to place the cassettes in the lowered position to set cassettes B5, B4 ready for feeding. When the swing arm 117 makes a half turn to depress MS2, the link 118 is pushed downward and the link 110 rotates clockwise so that a cassette cradle 103 is pulled upward to the left to enable the feeding of cassettes A4, A3.
