Abstract

PURPOSE:To restrict a flow of a material and to equalize the plate thickness of a circular pipe which has been worked, by performing its roll forming applying a perscribed load to the end of a cylindrical object to be worked, which has been fit-inserted into a mandrel. CONSTITUTION:A holding jig 9 is fit-inserted into a mandrel 1 so as to be freely slidable, and the holding jig 9 is bronght into press-contact with the end of a forming part 3' of a cylindrical object to be worked 3 which has been fit-inserted into the mandrel 1. Subsequently, when constant force is given to a tail stock 8 by an oil pressure cylinder 10, the tail stock 8 moves backward, pushing the holding jig 9 by constant force in accordance with forming of the forming part 3' of the object to be worked 3. By this pushing force, the object to be worked 3 is restricted as to its local elongation, and is formed with high accuracy so that a difference of its plate thickness is small.
