Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain analog video signals of the high quality by separating a digital video signal read out from a memory circuit into a luminance signal and a carrier chrominance signal, converting the carrier chrominance signal into the one which corresponds to other TV system and synthesizing the carrier chrominance signal with the luminance and synchronous signals. CONSTITUTION:A signal generator 25 operates synchronously with the sampled frequency which approximately equals to the product of the sampled frequency higher than the twice of the maximum frequency of the 1st TV system signal and the horizontal scanning frequency ratio between the 2nd and 1st TV systems. A 2nd TV system synchronous signal generated from the generator 25 and a signal with the same frequency as the sampled frequency are supplied to a video synchronous signal generator 27 and a signal outputted from the generator 27 is applied to a memory circuit 28. a digital video signal read out from the circuit 28 is inputted to a D/A converter 29 to separate the signal into a luminance signal and a carrier chrominance signal. The separated carrier chrominance signal is converted into the one corresponding to the 2nd TV system and then synthesized with the luminance signal and a synchronous signal generated from the generator 25 by a synthesizing circuit 34.
