Abstract
PURPOSE:To apply convolutional encoding normally also to parity signals at an end of an encoding information signal and to increase code error correcting ability at the end part by processing the encoding information signal with a fixed length equivalently to cyclic connection between the starting end part and the final end part of the signal so as to cancell these end parts with each other. CONSTITUTION:An information signal backet with the length exceeding the integer times the length of a unit transmission backet in plural information blocks which supply parity signals through convolutional encoding is transmitted intermittently by dividing it in every division of the unit transmission backet length. At the time of intermittent transmission, the starting and final end parts of each information division are cyclically connected by using a shift register, an adder, etc. so as to cancell these end parts with each other, and parity signals respectively applied to plural information blocks included in the starting and final end parts of each information division are also transmitted so as to be convoluted near the starting end. Thus, the correcting ability of encoding errors can be increased by using the parity signals convoluted at the end part.
