Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the acceleration of drying and to prevent the occurrence of crack of a coating film, by allowing a coating of the electrode to include carboxymethylcellulose mixed salt. CONSTITUTION:A mixture between carboxymethylcellulose sodium and carboxymethylcelulose calcium or carboxymethylcellulose mixed salt, which is formed by the reaction of two kinds of salt of sodium and calcium upon carboxymethylcellulose, is added to the coating of a core for an electrode. Thus, since the fluidity of the flux is held by the binder effect with sodium of the carboxymethylcellulose as a sticking agent to prevent clogging of a plunger, the coating film is superior in coating workability; and since the water separation phenomenon occurs while suppressing properly the reaction between calcium of the mixed salt and water glass, the coating film is unifrom.
