Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a sprayed coating, which has no porous section and is excellent in strength, on the surface of the molding die by a method wherein spraying metallic particles are coated with a binding agent and projected to a material to be coated. CONSTITUTION:When the metallic particles 6 of a Zn alloy, a Ni alloy, etc. are sprayed to the material to be coated 5 from a spraying gun 4 through an electric arc spraying method or a gas spraying method, the binding agent 8, such as synthetic resin, asphalt, etc. is scattered with directional property through a coating gun 7 apart from the gun 4 so as to cover the whole range of the sprayed and scattered particles 6 with directional property, synchronizing with the gun 4, the par- ticles 6 are coated with the binding agent 8, and the particles 6 are bonded mutually by the binding agent 8 when the particles 6 are projected to the material to be coated 5. Accordingly, the binding agent 8 densely enters among the particles 6 and voids are removed, and the sprayed coating 9 with no porous section is obtained.
