Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a color photographic element from being made unclear in color and to enhance the color reproducibility by adding a nondiffusing pyrazole deriv. or a precursor thereof to the nonsensitive intermediate layer held between the sensitive silver halide emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:To the nonsensitive intermediate layer of a photographic element having the layer held between sensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a support is added a nondiffusing apecified pyrazole deriv. or a precursor thereof. The deriv. is represented by formula 1 or 2 (where R1 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or heterocyclic, R2 is H, optionally substituted alkyl, aryl, heterocyclic, amino, carbonamido, sulfonamide, sulfamoyl, carbamoyl or ureido, each of R3 and R4 is H, -COR5, -SO2R6 or -CSR7, each of R5 and R6 is optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, aryl or the like, and R7 is alkylamino or arylamino).
