Abstract

PURPOSE:To introduce a large amt. of sample extremely easily by forming two kinds of passages to a stopcock type introduction head fitted in a column body, and introducing the sample and a moving phase solvent into a stationary phase by discrete operations. CONSTITUTION:A stationary phase 6 is formed by a packing material in a separating column body 1, and a stopcock type introduction head 7 of external operation type is fitted into the upper part of the body 1. The bottom surface of the head 7 is in contact with the top surface of the stationary phase 6, and two kinds of passages 8, 9 for liquid introduction and distribution are formed to the head 7 independently by commonly using an outlet part. The passages 8, 9 are used respectively independently for introduction of a sample and a moving phase solvent. Since these can be used respectively independently in this way, a large amt. of the sample can be introduced without the danger of mixing and diluting of the sample in the moving phase soln. This device is extremely useful for high speed liquid chromatography of an industrial scale.
