Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of parts, improve reliability and reduce the production cost of a popup mechanism to insert/pull out a disk into/from a floppy disk unit.
CONSTITUTION: When an end of a medium contacts with a linking part 10b, a rod 10 is depressed against the tension of a spring 12 by the force applied to a point P of the rod 10 and an intermediate part 10c and the linking point 10b slide a guide part 11a and a slit part 11c respectively to make them shift in the same direction. At that time, torsinal stress generates in the linking part 10a, which contacts with the side of the guide rail 11 again after passing through a linking projection 11b. Under this condition, the link part 10a is linked with the linking projection 11b and therefore set on a prescribed position. If the linking part 10a is removed from the linking projection 11b, the rod 10 moves in the reversed direction against the arrow and the medium also moves in the same direction.
