PURPOSE:To easily obtain a reproducing stylus which has excellent reproduction characteristics by forming an electrode film of a conductive material to a required thickness on a layer made conductive by the carbon of diamond itself provided on an electrode forming surface. CONSTITUTION:An electrode part formed on the electrode forming surface 2 of a reproducing stylus body 1 consists of a conductivilized layer 8 made of carbon of diamond itself on the surface of the electrode forming surface 2, and an electrode film 9 of a conductive material stuck on the layer 8. Therefore, the electrode part provides a reproduced signal with an excellent C/N ratio by the electrode film 9 which has a sufficiently low electric resistance value. Further, the electrode film 9 is stuck to said layer 8 with excellent sticking strength, so the reproducing stylus has the peeling-off electrode part.
