Abstract

PURPOSE:To press a pressure contact part of a valve body regardless of the direction of applied fluid pressure, by disposing a seat ring of a L-shaped section and forming a fitting recess in the ring between a body and a fixing member to restrict a deflection of a fitting foot and a movement of a projecting flange caused by the fluid pressure. CONSTITUTION:A fitting recess 7 which restricts a deflection of a fitting foot 1a and a movement of a projecting flange 2 when a fluid pressure is applied is formed in a metallic seat ring 1 between a fixing member and a body 3, that is, a split ring 4 or a set ring 5 and the body 3. Hence, if the fluid pressure is applied in any direction from the primary side or secondary side, the fluid pressure applied on the projecting flange 2 is going to raise it so that the pressure acts as a pressure which presses the valve body 9 onto a valve body pressure contact part 1b, thus providing a tightly sealed condition.
