Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a constantly favorable closely-fit condition b energizing the part of a seat which is closely fit to a valve body by means of a metal spring whose characteristic is less apt to be varied with variation in temperature so as to force the seat onto a valve body at a certain pressure. CONSTITUTION:A closely fitting part F having a cantilever-like section is disposed on the inside of a ring-like seat 1. A base of the closely fitting part F is located at a larger diameter side of a valve body 3 having truncated conical section. This base is also equipped with a hinge H while, the end of the closely fitting part F is energized by a metallic spring 5 so that an internal periphery 1a and an external periphery 3a are closely fit throughout those circumferences and the widths. In case said members are used for a fluid pipe of an extremely low temperature, a leakage which is caused by a loss in elasticity of the seat 1, which is made of high molecular materials may be prevented because the hinge H provided for the closely fitting part F can provide said closely fitting part F with the susceptibility to deflection in response to a load of the spring 5.
