Abstract
PURPOSE:To form effective air capacity variable as necessary and obtain an optimum characteristic of spring and damping force, by communicating an air tank to the main air chamber of a damper main unit and partitioning the inside of the air tank into a plurality of air chambers selectively communicateable to the main air chamber. CONSTITUTION:Oil is sealed in a damper case 1 in a damper main unit D in such a manner that its upper part is left for a main air chamber A to embed an oil hydraulic cylinder 10. Then the main air chamber A is communicated by a communication port 22 in the upper part of the damper case 1 through a conduction pipe 23 to the third air chamber a3 in an air tank Ta. The inside of an air tank main unit 25 is divided into the first, second and third air chambers a1, a2, a3 by partitioning plates 26, 27, and through holes 28, 29 and open- close valves 32, 38 are provided respectively in the partitioning plates 26, 27. These open-close valves 32, 38 can be rotated from the outside by a selector shaft 30, and each air chamber a1, a2, a3 can be selectively communicated.
