Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove external noises and to prevent deterioration in information grades, by installing plural luminous elements and photodetectors at each of terminal light transmitting and receiving stations, and a shielding device between lens systems and the photodetectors. CONSTITUTION:A shielding device 17 is installed between lens systems 12, 13 and photodetector 15, 16. An optical information signal transmitted from a central station through an optical fiber 4 is converted into a signal which drives luminous elements 9, 10 by a terminal transmitting station 2, and the same optical signal is transmitted from the elements 9, 10. The optical signal is converted into two parallel rays spaced an angle theta apart from each other by lens systems 11, 12. When a deterioration in the grade of information or a condition impossible for reception occurs, a signal is generated in a receiving station 5 by using the light receiving signal of the photodetector 16 and the device 17 is driven, so that the light will not converge upon the photodetector 16. Therefore, the light reception is performed at another system composed of the element 9, the lens system 11, a lens system 14, and the photodetector 15.
