Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable an end part of an oil fence to follow a change in a water level and to enable to perform a simple installation and removal of the oil fence, by a method wherein a pair of guide plates, in which a float at the end of the oil fence is vertically and slidably positioned, are located at a bank protection so that they can freely open and shut off.
CONSTITUTION: In case oil is fed to facilities on land from a tanker 11 through a pipe 9, which is positioned extending from a protection bank 1, and a dolphin 10, and in case an area, ranging from the tanker 1 to the protection bank 1, is surrounded with an oil fence 12, coupling devices A are located between the oil fence 12 and the protection bank 1. In the coupling device A, a pair of guide plates 16, which are coupled to the end part of the oil fence 12 and are positioned in a perpendicular direction, are mounted at concrete coping so that they can freely open and shut off, and a float 28 at the end part of the oil fence 12 is vertically slidably positioned in a cylindrical space formed by the guide plates 16.
