Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform image pickup operation continuously in an adequate state by previously storing information on white balance adjustment in a storage circuit during the image pickup operation when color temperature is different. CONSTITUTION:Storage circuits 13 and 14 having storage locations where white balance adjustment data on image pickup output generated when image pickup operation is performed through a color temperature correcting filler 2 are provided, and each white balance adjustment data under the image pickup condition of color temperature for at least one color temperature correcting filter 2 is stored in each storage location. During image pickup operation, the white balance adjustment data are read out of the storage circuits 13 and 14 to keep the white balance of the image pickup output.
