Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain swiveling with the maximum allowable speed for a controlling system of an industrial robot which is driven through an operation of pulse distribution based on a teaching command of position, by discontinuting the distribution of pulses when the contents of an error register exceeds the set value. CONSTITUTION:A pulse distributing circuit 101 carries out a known operation of pulse distribution based on a teaching command of position and produces the distribution pulse Ps. A speed regulating circuit 102 produces a pulse train Pi by the pulse Ps to drive a DC motor 103 for drive of the swiveling shaft of a robot. A pulse coder 104 produces the feedback pulse FP and feed the pulse FP back to an error register 105, and the register 105 stores an error Er between the pulses Pi and PF. The contents of the register 105 receives a D/A conversion 106 to be applied to a speed controlling circuit 107. An errormonitor part 108 compares the error Er and the set value Rv and produces the distributing operation stop signal PDS when Er>Rv is satisfied. The value Rv is set so that the swivelling is possible with the prescribed maximum allowable speed to various types of inertia.
