Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure running stability and prevent a tape from being slackened by installing individual guides to limit the position of a width direction of a helical scan rotation head system VTR (video tape recorder) tape. CONSTITUTION:A tape guide 6 is shifted in its shaft direction, one edge of the tape 1 is depressed by a collar part 6b and separated from a lead guide 5 and the direction of a recording trace is coincided with that of the scanning trace of a rotary head. A tape guide 7 is shifted slightly in its shaft direction and the other edge of the tape is depressed by a collar part 7a, so that the tape is sufficiently pressed and contacted over the position where one edge of the tape contacts with the lead guide 5. The tape 1 receives force rotating slightly in the counterclockwise direction by the depression of the other edge of the tape 1 through the collar part 7 centering around a supporting point Z where the tape 1 contacts with the lead guide 5, so that the tape 1 is separated from the tape guide 5.
