Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the mechanically rigid dew condensation sensor wherein a life characteristic is improved by contacting ceramic which comprises titanium composite oxide and has a dew condensation detecting function with a detecting electrode which detects the resistance variation at the time of the dew condensation. CONSTITUTION:The ceramic having the dew condensation function is contacted with the detecting electrodes which detects the resistance variation at the time of the dew condensation. For example, the detecting electrodes 2 and 3 are formed on the surface of the ceramic 1. Or the detecting electrodes 2 and 3 are formed in the ceramic 1. Or a plurality of the electrodes are provided so that a thin film part (b) of the ceramic 1 covers the parts of the detecting electrodes 2 and 3. Said ceramic is prepared by the material comprising the titanium composite oxide having an ilemenite type crystal structure or the material wherein ceramic having the other crystal structure and additive are mixed. They are mixed at a specified ratio, temporarily baked, and crushed. Then, a binder is added, and particles are formed. Thereafter compression, molding, and baking are performed.
