Abstract

PURPOSE: To simply straighten the strain of a metallic shape, and to widen the corrective range of the strain, by permitting a middle straightening chuck to move forward, backward and vertically or to revolve, and by permitting the left and right straightening chucks to move in the dimensions or to revolve as above mentioned.
CONSTITUTION: A shape (a) is threaded between lower and upper jaws 2, 3 of a middle straightening chuck 1 and the left and right straightening chucks 13, 13; the shape (a) is then fixed by a mobile jaw 3 installed in either one of three chucks 1, 13, 13. A part to be straightened in the shape (a) is moved to a position of a necessary straightening chuck by moving the left and right chucks 13, 13 to the left or the right. At this position, the shape (a) is clamped between the jaws 2, 3 of the said necessary straightening chuck which is then moved forward, backward and vertically, or is revolved around its horizontal axis. Or otherwise, the strain of the shape (a) is straightened by selectively combining said three-dimentional movements and revolution.
