Abstract
PURPOSE:To record a high-quality image at high print speed with simple constitution, by combining an ink jet recording system with an electrostatic recording system. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic resin ink 31 dissolved in a solvent is attached onto a conductive recording support 32 in accordance with an image, and after evaporation of the solvent the resin combines into one uniform body, thus forming an ink jet image recorded on the support 32 after drying and serviceable as a master plate. This is wound on a cylindrical drum 40 to form a latent image. This master plate 41 corresponds to said support 32. The image area 42 coated with an insulating material is negatively charged with a corona charger 43 as the drum 40 rotates, and the nonrecord area is not charged on the surface due to conductivity, thus permitting an electrostatic latent image to be formed, and sent to a developing station 58-65 to conduct development.
