Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable detecting of a reliable timing even if an engine runs at a very low rotation speed, by a method wherein a crank phase is detected in the middle between an upper dead point of a cylinder and an upper dead point of a succeeding explosion cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A crank angle speed is brought to a maximum at a P-point which is positioned at an angle of 90 deg. and in the middle of an upper dead point (TDC) in the case of 4-cylinder, at an angle of 60 deg. from the upper dead point in the case of 6-cylinder, and at an angle of 45 deg. from the upper dead point in the case of 8-cylinder. The detection of a crank phase at the P-point enables detecting of reliable timing even if a rotation speed of an engine is very low.
