Abstract

PURPOSE: A water-soluble oil composition that contains a partial ester of oxyalkylated aminedicarboxylic acid or its salt, free from nitrites, thus being suitably used to effect cold milling of steel, because of its dissolution in acid and strong anticorrosive property.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprises (A) a partial ester of oxyalkylated aminedicarboxylic acid or its salt such as oxyalkylated aliphatic aminedicarboxylic partial ester or its salt alone, or further (B) a compound selected from the group consisting of inorganic phosphate salts and borate salts and/or another compound selected from the group consisting of nitrobenzoic acid, nitrosalicylic acid and fatty acid amine N-oxide is added to component A, preferably by 0.1W20wt% to give the same.
