Abstract

PURPOSE: To actuate a clutch through prescribed operation, by providing an orifice made of a minute clearance, in a passage which connects the slender hole of the central part of a piston to a liquid pressure generation chamber, to reduce the quantity of excess working liquid which flows into a piping line.
CONSTITUTION: A second passage 29 is provided to connect a slitlike slender hole 14 in a piston 4 to a liquid pressure generation chamber 5. An orifice 30 is made of a minute clearance between the inside of a second hole 28 and the outside of the shaft portion 18 of a valve member 19. The cross-sectional area of the orifice 30 is set to reduce the quantity of working liquid which flows into the liquid pressure generation chamber 5 from the slender hole 14. According to this constitution, the quantity of excess working liquid which flows into a piping line including the liquid pressure generation chamber 5 is small and hardly alters even if a clutch pedal is pressed down twice during the return action of a clutch. For that reason, the clutch can be actuated through prescribed operation.
