PURPOSE: To simplify the work to install a bearing by dividing the inner ring of a bearing into two or more arc-shaped members so that the bearing's inner ring can be fitted on a shaft in such a manner that those pieces enclose the shaft radially.
CONSTITUTION: The inner shaft 2b of a bearing 2 is divided into arc-shaped members by cutting at points shown by 6a, 6b, and these members are fitted in the recesses in a shaft 3 in the radial direction one after another. This prefabricated shaft 3 and inner ring 2b is inserted along the inner ring's guide part 7 into the housing 1 in which the outer ring 2a, retainer 2c and steel balls 2b are accomodated previously.
