Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent reproducing signals from being deteriorated, by constituting an optical recording medium used for an optical data system with an optical recording layer having porous photoreflecting substances. CONSTITUTION:A recording laser beam A melts metal or a metallic oxide on a recording layer 1 to be flowed into air gaps 2 and the molten material is not swelled on the flat surface. Thus, since the reflection of a reproducing laser beam (a) is not disturbed on the flat surface, the beam is reflected as shown in the arrow (b), and the beam is irregularly reflected in a pit 3 to be a weak reflecting light (c). Further, it is favorable that a sintered metal or its compound forming the recording layer 1 is bonded on the major plane opposing to a substrate 5 and a protective film 6 to keep the shape of the sintered metal and to prevent oxidation.
