Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve durability as well as productivity by fitting a projection of the core of gasket to an opening of the sheet-like seal member, and engaging them tightly mechanically or frictionally. CONSTITUTION:The core 2 of gasket is provided with at least one projection 4 with which the seal member 3 is assembled to the core. An opening 5 is provided to the sheet of seal member 3 at a position concentrically corresponding to the projection 4 of the core 2. The dimension of the opening is accurately controlled so that the projection is fitted into this opening with mechanically or frictionally tight contact at least at the root of the projection.
