Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a plurality of dipole induction motors having less trouble, long lifetime, less mechanical and electrical noises and low cost by coupling the motors through a friction joint in series with each other. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of dipole induction motors are coupled in series with each other. In this case, the induction motor has a stator 1 and a rotor 2 in the minimum speed unit, inner rotor 7 and outer rotors 5, 6 in the next and following stages in such a manner that the outer rotors 5, 6 are mechanically coupled with the rotor 2(the inner rotor in case of more than 3-stage series) in the low speed unit, and a friction joint 4 which slips with the predesigned torque is mounted at the coupling part. Then, superhigh speed being nearly to double of the synchronizing speed can be obtained. For example, in case of 2-stage series, it is constructed as shown, 3-phase AC voltages are applied through a slip ring 9 from a power source 11 to a coil 6 and from a power source 12 to coil 1, thereby obtaining the speed being approximately double of the synchronzing speed from a shaft 8.
