Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate the positive setting of the prescribed air flow rate in a large-sized gas cooling type turbine generator which employs a reverse flow cooling system by forming a passage of cooling gas of a rotor by a special method. CONSTITUTION:A core 2 formed with a plurality of vent ducts, a stator having a gas cooler 12, and a rotor 5 having a blowing fan 8 are provided. As a cooling gas passage, the first flowing means which is led out of a cooler 12 through a vent duct of the core 2 to a gas gap 3 and through a fan 8 to the cooler 12, and the second flowing means which is led out of the cooler 12 through a rotor 5 for cooling the end coil 6 of the rotor and then through the fan 8 to the cooler 12 are also provided. The second means is formed by providing an axial groove 18 at the shaft of the rotor 5 and a wedge 19 inserted into the outer periphery of the groove, a cooling air guide hole 21 is formed at the wedge 19, while a cooling gas guide groove 22 is formed toward the rotating direction at the wedge 19 on the surface of the shaft of the rotor 5 and adjacent thereto.
