Abstract

PURPOSE:To display easily recognizable characters by means of a storage recording and regeneration, by receiving character broadcasting signals trasmitted under a condition where the signals are overlapped upon TV signals, by storing the signals for numerous pictures in a disk memory, etc., and then, by displaying required pictures by selectively reading out them from the stored pictures. CONSTITUTION:Character signals transmitted synchronously to horizontal synchronizing signals separated at a synchronizing separator circuit 4 of a TV set and under a condition where the character signals are overlapped upon the vertical retrace of the TV signal, are recorded for plural picture elements in a magnetic disk type H servo multifield memory 12. Reading out from the memory 12 is selectively performed by a selection switch 13, and a desired picture is stubbed and written into an 1-field memory 16. A PCP detecting circuit 14 and an AND gate 15 are connected to the memory 16 and the selectively read out picture is written into the memory 16 after waveform shaping, and then, the picture is displayed in a display circuit 17 synchronously to the vertical and horizontal scannings of the TV signal. Thus easily recognizable characters can be displayed.
