Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to return an indicator of a meter to zero position quickly when the power source is turned OFF and also to minimize capacity of a capacitor in a backup circuit, by providing a zero-reset discharging circuit which is designed to operate when the power source is turned OFF. CONSTITUTION:A signal put into an input terminal 2 is converted to an analog voltage by a converter main body 1, smoothened by a smoothing circuit 3, converted to a meter driving signal by a driving circuit 7 and outputted to a meter 8. An indicator of the meter 8 indicates a value in accordance with the aforementioned driving signal. Under this state, such a load is accumulated in a capacitor 6 in the circuit 3 that voltages on the both terminals become equal to the aforementioned analog voltage. And then, when a switch 12 is opened, the capacitor 6 starts discharging through resistors 5 and 14. For this reason, voltage being put into the driving circuit 7 decreass rapidly, the driving signal of the meter 8 also decreases and the indicator of the meter 8 returns to zero quickly. Since a value of the resistor 14 is selected such that the indicator returns rapidly, it is possible to minimize capacity of a capacitor 10 in a backup circuit 9.
