Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure quantity of fuel in the fuel tank always accurately, by arranging two fuel measuring parts in the fuel tank different in response characteristics corresponding to the conditions of the usage of the car, and selectively switching the fuel measuring part in accordance with the operating usage of the car. CONSTITUTION:In the fuel tank 6, the first fuel measuring part U1 and the second fuel measuring part U2, each different in response characteristics corresponding to the working condition of the car as stopping, running, etc., are installed. The first fuel measuring part U1 is a slow response measuring part corresponds to the condition of little liquid surface variation as stopping condition, and on the other hand, the second fuel measuring part U2 is the quick response measuring part corresponding to the severe variation of the liquid surface as in a running condition. And the output terminals 7a and 7b of respective fuel measuring parts U1 and U2 are separately connected to the change-over switch U3. The change-over switch U3 is connected with either of the car speed signal generating means S1 and, ignition switch device S2, or fuel feeding switch S3. The output terminal of the change-over switch U3 is connected with detection circuit U5 and indicator U6.
