Abstract

PURPOSE:To enlarge patterns, by inputting magnifications into an output interface which outputs patterns to a dot printer when the hard copy of a displayed picture in the CRT monitor is outputted by the dot printer, etc. CONSTITUTION:This device has two-dimentional addresses composed of row addresses and line addresses and is equiped with a buffer memory 16 which holds patterns and a row address counter 9 and a line address counter 10 which give row and line addresses, respectively, to the buffer memory 16 through a memory control section 8. The equipment drives a hard copy interface 12 with a basic clock 13. This device works by the basic clock 13 by using values of a row enlarging register 17 and a line enlarging register 19, which hold magnifications of patterns as preset values, and counts up 18 the row address counter 9. This device also works by a carry signal 14 supplied from the row address counter 9 by using the value of the enlarging registers, and counts up 20 the line address counter 10, thus enlarges the pattern.
