Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the excessive rotation of an angine and prevent the reckless driving of the vehicle by comparing the control quanity compared value determined in accordance with the driving condition of the engine with the output of detection means which detects the control quantity of main electrical control means to judge the abnormality of the main electrical control means. CONSTITUTION:Main electrical control means 1 having locating servo means 4 for operating a fuel adjusting member 6 in a fuel injection pump of the Diesel engine, is provided, and an abnormality treating part 10 for performong an emergency treatment at the abnormal time is also provided. This abnormality treating part 10 comprises detection means 13 for detecting a control quantity M of the above means 1, engine driving condition detecting means 11 and abnormality judging means 17 for judging abnormality of the control means 1, by determining a control quantity compared value MO corresponding to the driving condition and judging the abnormality of control means 1 by comparing the compared value with the control quantity M.
