Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of connecting operation of a linear element and a linear material, by connecting a winding-up end of the linear element to the linear material using bundling lines in such a way that the connected part has a small diameter and is flexible, and a back tension is exerted to the linear element. CONSTITUTION:A linear material bundling traverser 16 for connecting the linear material 15 such as a flexible rope to the linear element 4 is arranged between a winding-up drum 1 and a winding-up guide traverser 9. The traverser 16 consists of a reel 20, a guide mechanism 21, a bundling apparatus 22, a vertically driving mechanism 23 and a cutting mechanism 24. After the linear material 15 has been wound to a winding-up drum 1, the guide traverser 9 is positioned just over the linear material 15, the leading end of the linear element 4 is inserted into a guide click 22a of the bundling apparatus 22, and when the bundling apparatus 22 is actuated, the linear element 4 and the linear material 15 are fastened tightly by the bundling lines 36. Then the winding-up drum 1 is rotated to pull the linear element 4 by the linear material 15, and thus the linear element 4 is wound up.
