Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate damage to the wire and rejected portions thereof by providing a winding bobbin and a flier such that they can rotate about the wire, providing a wire clamping and bending device under the winding bobbin and providing a take-up bobbin thereunder.
CONSTITUTION: A thread t is paid out from a winding bobbin 4, and its end is clamped between a flange 21 of the take-up bobbin 2 and a clamp plate 3. Then, it is wound on the bobbin 2 by turning the bobbin. Then, the end of a wire w is fed out to a wire clamping and bending unit 6 by rotating pinch rollers 8. At the same time, a flier 5 is rotated to bring the thread to a position of coincidence with the wire, and the ends of the thread and wire are clamped together in the unit 6. Then, the thread is wound on the wire several turns by rotating the flier 5, and then the end of the wire is bent at right angles as shown in the Figure. Thereafter, the thread is cut at a position close to the supply source, and the device 6 is opened. In this state, the bobbin 2 is rotated.
