Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the alternate utilization of the front and the reverse faces of a laver screen, and to elongate the life of the screen, in a laver drying apparatus having upper and lower endless conveyors for the transfer of the laver screen holders in the drying chamber, by reversing the laver screen holder after each complete run through the transfer route.
CONSTITUTION: The laver screen holder passed along the whole length of the upper endless chain 6 in the drying chamber is released from the guide rail 8 and fallen to the lower endless chain 7. After passing along the whole elngth of the lower endless chain 7, the holder is released from the guide rail 9 and fallen. When the horizontal bar f2 at the bottom of the holder is dropped and inserted into the notch 13', the lever 13 rotates clockwise, and the holder is lowered to the lowest position and stopped when the horizontal bar f1 at the top of the holder is brought into contact with the curved surface of the guide plate 12. Then the lever 13 begins to rotate anticlockwise to lift the horizontal bar f1, and the holder is transferred between the slant surface and the chain 4. The plate 15 rotates anticlockwise to hold the horizontal bar f2, and at the same time, the lever 13 rotates clockwise and returns to its original position. The holder is reversed by this action.
