Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the amt. of produced gases by separating gaseous CO2 from the gas produced from a digestion tank, floating and concentrating org. sludge under pressure by means of the gaseous CO2 and digesting the concd. sludge.
CONSTITUTION: After org. sludge is concd. in a pressure tank 1, it is charged into an anaerobic fermentation tank 2, where it is anaerobically fermented. The produced digestion gas consisting essentially of methane and CO2 is fed into a carbon dioxide absorption tower 3. Monoethanol amine is packed in the tower 3, and the gaseous CO2 in the digestion gas is absorbed by this. The methane is stored in a gas holder 5 through a measuring device 4. On the other hand, the monoethanol amine absorbed the gaseous CO2 is fed to a gaseous CO2 recovery tower 6, where it releases the gaseous CO2 which is stored in a gas holder 7. This gaseous CO2 is fed via a compressor 8 to a pressurized water producer 9, and is dissolved under pressure into the separating liquid of the tank 1 which is beforehand fed therein with a pump 10. The pressure-separated liquid dissolved therein with the CO2 is fed through a valve 11 to the tank 1, where sludge is floated and concd. under pressure by the foaming gaseous CO2.
