PURPOSE:To obtain a yarn having improved processability and soft feeling at a small number of twists, by introducing a yarn twisted in a rotating spinning chamber into a specific cylindrical path provided opposite to the chamber, and twisting the yarn additionally with a jetting fluid through a nozzle provided near the inlet of the yarn path. CONSTITUTION:An L-shaped cylindrial yarn path 4 is provided opposite to a spinning chamber 1 rotating at a high speed, and the inlet part 6 of the yarn path 4 with a smooth surface is provided coaxially with the axis 3 of the spinning chamber 1. A nozzle 7 capable of jetting a fluid tangentially is provided near the inlet part 6 in the cylinder of the yarn path 4. Short fibers 8 fed from a feed pipe 9 into the spinning chamber 1 are collected in the spinning chamber 1 and twisted to form a yarn 5, which is then passed through the yarn path 4 and taken out by taking out rollers 2. At this time, the yarn 5 is twisted by the nozzle 7 provided near the inlet part of the yarn path 4 in the same direction as that of the twist given to the yarn in the spinning chamber 1.
