Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare the titled fluorescent material having strong adhesive force of the attached pigment and high dispersibility, by dispersing a pigment in an organic alkali solution containing dissolved silica, depositing solid silica to the surface of the pigment by controlling pH, and mixing said pigment with a fluorescent material in water.
CONSTITUTION: Pigment is dispersed in an organic alkali solution or inorganic alkali solution containing dissolved silica. Solid silica is deposited on the surface of the pigment by adjusting the pH of the alkaline aqueous solution, and the pigment is mixed with a fluorescent material in water (preferably containing a surface active agent) to obtain the objective fluorescent material composed of the fluorescent particle and the pigment attached to its surface.
EFFECT: Excellent powder luminance characteristics.
USE: For color television.
