PURPOSE:To decrease movable parts of a regulator simultaneously simplify its construction, by interposing a stepped piston to a spool mechanism in the power control regulator for the above described pump and stopping the spool at control operation. CONSTITUTION:At control operation, own pump delivery pressure Pd1 acts upon a minor chamber 32 of a servo piston 8, port 16 of a spool 12 and port 18 of a piston 17 in a regulator, and remote pump delivery pressure Pd2 acts upon the stepped part of a stepped piston 50. Here, for instance, the spool 12 is pressed leftward by the own delivery pressure Pd1, then the pressure Pd1 acts upon the minor chamber 32 and major chamber 29 of the piston 8, and the piston 8 is displaced rightward. At this time, a tilting lever 40 presses back the spool 12 rightward. In this way, the spool 12 is urged by the servo piston 8 in such a state as to always stop in a position as shown in the drawing.
