Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable draining of a cultivating field positioned in a lower level than that of a drainage ditch and to facilitate planting and mowing of crops, by a method wherein, in a cultivating field located in a lower level than that of the drainage ditch, a drainage pipe is constructed in an underground part which is positioned lower than the drainage ditch. CONSTITUTION:A drainage pipe, which is formed in the shape of a gutter and has bores in the upper part thereof, is used. Cobble stones are spread over the lower part of the drainage pipe, and chaff is scattered to enlarge a water collecting section. In a cultivating field positioned on a lower level than that of a drainage ditch 10, a drainage canal 11, which is posiioned lower than the drainage ditch 10, is excavated in an underground part. The drainage pipes 8, 4, and 6 are connected to the drainage canal 11, and drain water is led to the main drain canal 11 as the pipes collect drain water gradually.
