Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to control the electrical properties of ink particles of a nozzle which is arranged so that ink is jetted out from a spouting hole by composing the portion of the nozzle where the spouting hole is to be drilled with electric conductive ceramic. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle body 1 is provided with an ink storage 3 wherein ink to be supplied from a pipe 2 is stored and a spouting hole 4 which is interconnected with the storage 3 and is opened forward. The nozzle body 1 is also equipped with a piezoelectric body 5 so that pressure can be applied to ink in the storage 3 through a diaphragm 6, and the whole body or the portion of the nozzle body 1 where the spouting hole is drilled is composed of electric conductive ceramic. By this arrangement, it is possible to prevent ink particles from being charged by connecting the nozzle body 1 to the earth or it is possible to control ink particles by causing them to be charged by applying a voltage to the nozzle body 1, and at the same time the nozzle body 1 is excellent in resistibility against chemical and wear.
